Balitang America on The Filipino Channel

First and foremost, thank you all for your support and for spreading the word. I’ve been getting calls and emails from friends and family I haven’t caught up with in ages. It’s nice to hear those familiar voices. It warms my heart to know there’s still good out there.
If you saw it, the press release for Christopher was aired on Balitang America on Wednesday evening. Tonight, we were interviewed by Steve Angeles of Balitang America. Since Biliary Atresia hits Asians more than any other race, it’s imperative to keep them informed. Thanks Mark for the hookup and thanks Steve for the exposure. Stay tuned!

Spread the word…Volunteers needed!
Posted by jenille610 on June 17, 2007
Hello Friends and Family!
After many ups and downs in his first year of life, our lil’ fighter, Christopher, must undergo a life-saving liver transplant.
We decided to contact the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to help us raise funds to cover Christopher’s transplant-related expenses. Although we have medical insurance, unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the entire cost of transplant and subsequent follow up care. COTA’s priority is to assure that no child is denied a transplant or excluded from a transplant waiting list due to lack of funds. One hundred percent of all funds raised are used for transplant-related expenses and post transplant care. They have estimated an initial amount of $40,000. Many fundraising activities are being organized by our volunteers and more information about these events will soon follow.
But in the mean time, we need your help. Please go to www.COTAforChristopherP.com to learn more about Chris’ cause and to make a secure, online donation.
If you can’t help by making a donation, maybe you can help the great people trying to raise money. I’m fortunate to have a big family and friend base – filled with great talent, savvy skills, hook-ups, plugs, etc. If you can help out in any way whether it entails asking for sponsorships at your work, club association, sorority, fraternity, etc; volunteering as a Chair; heading up your company’s matching grant program; finding a venue for our events; the list is exhaustive – please contact Cecilia Wong, Campaign Coordinator at COTAforChristopherP@gmail.com or (415) 902-1686 to find out how you can help.
Thanks in advance for giving Christopher a second chance at life and we look forward to meeting and thanking all of you personally.
Truly Yours,
Jenille and Jason
P.S. Please forward on to everyone in your address book. Spread the word!

Happy 1st Birthday, Chris and Evan!
Posted by jenille610 on June 1, 2007
It’s been a whirlwind year, boys! But, Mom and Dad (with gracious help) have survived.
It’s been quite unusual raising you boys – quite different than the first time around. For a moment, we thought there was a problem when your first week of life was in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Chris being the precocious, demanding lil’ one and Evan being the mellow, stoic one; you guys triumphed and got stronger each day. You must have known how bad Mommy wanted to cuddle you both! I’m truly grateful we got to bring you home because, as you know, some of your neighbors weren’t so fortunate to go home even until this day.
Even with Chris’ sickness, you both try to live normal lives: hitting your milestones, fighting with each other for the same toy, and squabbling over who’s going to get picked up first…I enjoy every moment of it! I particularly enjoy how lovingly and patiently your Kuya Nate plays and takes care of you two. You’re lucky he’s your big brother!
I never imagined God would bless me with TWO babies at once…And there are not enough words out there to show how much we truly appreciate everyone helping us with you two particularly Auntie Wilda and your grandparents.
We are happy, boys, to celebrate your first year of life and we are excited to see what the future holds…
